NITI Aayog is known as (National For Transforming India).
NITI Aayog introduced in 2015, after scrapping of Planning Commission in 2014.
NITI Aayog was introduced for following consideration
1. It is an Extra Constitutional Body formed via a resolution of the Union Cabinet.
2. Premier Policy "Think Tank" of Government of India to foster Co-operative Federalism. (Distribution of power. It includes Central Govt. and State Govt.)
3. Bottom-Up approach
4. NITI is nodal agency for SDG (Sustainable Development Goal)
We have 17 Sustainable Development Goals and 167 Sub-Goals under SDG.
The NITI Aayog is the responsible entity to fulfillment of all these goals.

Aim
To achieve SDG and to enhance co-operative federalism by fostering the involvement of State Governments of India in the economic policy-making process using a bottom-up approach.
Composition
Chairperson: Prime Minister of India.
Governing Council comprising the CMs of all State and Union Territories with Legislatures and Lt. Governors of UT.
